word for CLOVERLEAF. The team was named KLEEBLATT, because the
4 helicopters in a diamond-formation look like a cloverleaf.
What kind of display
team is the KLEEBLATT?
The KLEEBLATT is a
Helicopter Formation Team of the Austrian Air Force. 5 pilots
show the flight-programme with 4 helicopters on airshows in Europe.
The programme takes about 15 minutes and it is performed by instructor-pilots
and technicans of the 2nd Squadron/ Flying Regiment1.
What are the reasons
to run a Helicopter Formation Team?
The team pilots try
to animate young persons to join a military aviation career. Also
the team is expected to give a positive image of the Austrian
Air Force to the public in Austria and abroad.
